A Little About Me!

I am a music nut, and enjoy every style and genre with few exceptions, although Country and the Blues are at the top of the list. I played the acoustic guitar when younger but because of health problems the basic chords are about all I am able to play now, and even those at times seem to give me some difficulty. The left hand just doesn’t work the way it did because of the for mentioned health problems. I was in my teens when Elvis Presley came along and will always be a fan! Johnny Cash, Bill Haley, Chuck Berry, Stonewall Jackson, Sonny James, Faron Young, Buck Owens, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton are just a few that topped the charts as I was growing up and well into my adult years. I have lived all my life in the province of Saskatchewan Canada and I do believe will be here until He calls me. The site has been a creation I worked hard on but is filled with the subjects and articles that I love and have interested me most of my life.

All The Best

The electric guitar has made quite a difference to the music world. Entertainers like The Great Chuck Berry Born October 18, 1926 make the electric almost talk. When Chuck recorded "Maybelline" it sold over a million copies, reaching #1 on Billboard's Rhythm and Blues chart and #5 on the 10 September 1955 Billboard Best Sellers in Stores chart. At the end of June 1956, his song "Roll Over Beethoven" reached #29 on the Billboard Top 100 chart. ". The hits continued from 1957 to 1959, with Berry scoring over a dozen chart singles during this period, including the top 10 U.S. hits "School Days", "Rock and Roll Music", "Sweet Little Sixteen", and "Johnny B. Goode". He appeared in two early rock and roll movies. The first was Rock Rock Rock, released in 1956. He is shown singing "You Can't Catch Me." He had a speaking role as himself in the 1959 film Go, Johnny, Go! His two notable guitars he played were the Gibson ES-355 and Gibson ES-350T. Now in his eighties, Chuck Berry continues to play live and has concert bookings until Dec. 31st,2010.
